Protective Surveillance

Protective Surveillance is the process of using a team of people to keep a client safe from harm in the most unobtrusive, non-invasive way possible.

The Protective Surveillance Team (PST) will be around the client or clients at all times but will blend into the surroundings rather than being an overt and intimidating deterrent like uniformed security staff would be.

Do you feel vulnerable? Do you think you're being watched or feel there is a genuine threat against you? Has there been a serious threat made?

Get in touch with us immediately and feel the peace of mind that you are safe.

Dedicated: You Need Protection

High Profile: Celebrities, Visiting Dignitaries, Aristocrats, Elite Sports Persons, CEO's, Senior Management.

Everyone high profile or with significant earning power will be potentially under threat all year round.

Clients such as this will be under threat from hostile parties trying to extort money from them, blackmailing or altering business decisions through force.

High profile individuals will have the added threat that they have a higher chance of attracting the attention of individuals with mental health issues.

Victims of Domestic Abuse or Bullying.

Anyone unfortunate enough to be the victim of abuse or bullying will know how much it can ruin their life.

They may develop PTSD, depression, social anxiety, trust issues, agoraphobia, low self esteem. Substance abuse is common as a way of coping.

A protection team could allow you to regain your confidence and to live your life knowing that you are safe.

Children being harassed or bullied can be watched over by agents to ensure that they are safe and that they can go outside without the fear of attack.

Receiving Threats.

Anyone receiving threats should take the matter seriously. If someone has gone to the effort of making threats against you then they have the potential to go to the effort of harming you.

Being Stalked.

If you know or you suspect that you are being followed or that your movements are being tracked then engaging a PST may save your life.

Diligent: How Will The Protective Surveillance Team Keep You Safe

  • The primary role of a PST is working to control spaces and areas that the client is in and to pro-actively identify hostiles and threats. Your Anderson & Co agent will put together a bespoke security plan for you which will be tailored to your needs.

  • The ability to identify these threats comes from specific training and experience in counter surveillance, behavioural analysis and risk assessment.

  • This can involve surveillance on a location or transport route beforehand, background checking staff, sweeping for listening devices and monitoring crowds.

  • Close protection can form part of the protective surveillance services if this is required or when reacting to a situation.

  • The other role of a PST is to be able to react as a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) if required in the most extreme circumstances. This is typically a military term to denote a team that is permanently ready to react to engage hostile entities in a split second.

  • Covert surveillance allows our agents to observe the actions of people in the local vicinity to assess them as to whether they are a potential threat. It is frequently easier to spot a person showing signs of aggression when they do not know that they are being watched.

  • All of our Protective Surveillance operators come from Police and Close Protection backgrounds. Not only are they surveillance aware and trained but also trained in the specifics of protective surveillance.

  • All protective agents have solid strength, conditioning and fitness levels as well as martial arts training.

Discreet: Your life will be changed as little as possible.

The reason that protective surveillance is often a more attractive option than a close protection team is that is is significantly less invasive.

An overt security unit is quite often intimidating, cumbersome and will stop the private client being able to live their lives or do their jobs to their fullest.

Clients would complain that their daily schedule was ruined by the a close protection unit.

A PST will blend into the surroundings as much a possible, often disguising themselves as companions, colleagues or domestic staff whilst still maintaining the highest level of security for the clients.

A close protection team can also have more trouble identifying potential hostiles than a surveillance team due to how obvious they are.

Protective surveillance works more efficiently because they will go unnoticed to the general public, or to anyone who wants to do harm to the client, until it is time to react.

A PST can be in constant communication with a wider surveillance team depending on the size of the job. Real time information being shared between agents is paramount to the success of this type of personal security.

Discreet: Your Work, Lifestyle And Information Will Remain Private

Anderson & Co understand that employing surveillance operatives can seem invasive.

We can assure you that your information will remain 100% confidential and we are prepared to sign NDR agreements if you require it.
